What to expect?Worship means many different things to many different people and at Trinity the worship format and worship space often changes to reflect that understanding. The worship service at Trinity is organized by the Pastors with input from the Board of Deacons and other members. It attempts to reflect the need(s) of the congregation and the larger community on any given Sunday. It includes a number of elements including participation with many voices - including the voices of the congregation, the Liturgist, and Pastors.
We recognize that it is always hard to know what to expect when visiting a new church, especially when various worship styles that are so different from one church to another. Which is why we have included this overview of what you can may expect on any given Sunday - recognizing of course that it could also be very different depending on the particular Sunday.

Special Future Services – Themed Worship Experiences
The community of Trinity offers a number of special services throughout the year that offer an opportunity for a variety of worship experiences. Each is unique and designed to fill the spirit deep within in different ways. Each begins at 10AM on the Sunday noted unless otherwise stated. As always – all are welcome.
March
Wednesday Evening Lenten Series held in conjunction with the Ecumenical Network of Churches in Berwyn and Cicero. Services are held the Wednesday evenings during Lent at various churches throughout Berwyn and Cicero. Each Wednesday, beginning at 7:30pm, our Ecumenical network of churches will meet at various church locations to reflect on the life of Jesus. March 3rd - First Baptist Church, 6916 W. 34th St. in Berwyn. March 10th - Presbyterian Church, 6720 W. 31st St. in Berwyn. March 17th - At Trinity! March 24th - Warren Park Presbyterian, 6130 W. 21st St. in Cicero. All are invited!!
Palm Sunday (aka Confirmation Sunday at Trinity) a day to celebrate Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem. This Sunday often includes the Confirmation of our Confirmation students – a 125 year tradition at Trinity. Sunday, March 28, 2010.
April
Good Friday Evening Service held each year at Trinity starting at 7 PM to remember the passion and death of Jesus Christ. This service usually includes some type of drama or dramatic reading. Good Friday, April 3, 2010 starting at 7 PM.
Easter Sunday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. A special service followed with an Easter Egg Hunt for the youngest (usually outside weather permitting). Sunday, April 11, 2010.
May
Sabbatical Leave Worship and Mother’s Day Sunday includes a celebration of motherhood in all its various forms and this year includes a special worship to celebrate the beginning of the congregation’s and Pastors sabbatical. Sunday, May 9, 2010.
August
Sabbatical Return Worship a celebration of the Pastors return from their sabbatical. A special worship is planned. Sunday, August 15, 2010.
Rally Day 2010 is a unique worship celebrating the beginning of Sunday School and includes a special backpack blessing – students of all ages are invited to bring their books and backpack! Sunday School registration occurs after worship. Sunday, August 29, 2010.
