The Rev. William G. Ressl, MDiv, MSW, LCSW, PhD (ABD) (“Pastor Bill”) holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Chicago Theological Seminary and a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. He holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Bowen Family Systems Theory from the Center for Family Consultation (CFC) in Evanston, Illinois and has also presented seminars for CFC on theology, spirituality, and Bowen Theory at their Annual Clinical Days for social workers. Bill is currently a Candidate for a Ph.D. in Theology, Ethics, and Human Sciences at Chicago Theological Seminary. He is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois, License No. 149.013587.

Bill was born and raised Roman Catholic. Became United Methodist in 1992 and United Church of Christ (UCC) in 2001. He is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and serves as Co-Pastor at Trinity with his wife the Rev. Penny Taylor.

He has served at the Southwest Suburban Center on Aging in LaGrange, Illinois and at Family Service & Mental Health Center of Oak Park & River Forest in Oak Park, Illinois. His past employment includes: the American Bar Association; Mellon Financial Services; Amoco; Sears; and, self-employed as an intuitive self-taught artist (offset artist (Bill Ressl Cachets) and master wicker weaver see BillRessl.us). Bill and Penny are also the Co-Founders of the Renovatio Institute (a private but affiliated service of Trinity Community Church, UCC) that offers individual, couples, family, and group therapy as well as work and faith based systems consultations.
